Emilio is ten years old. He has type one diabetes, as well as a slight developmental and cognitive delay. He is very social and loves to be around people. He has many good friends and is attached to his caretakers. He is collaborative, attentive and he listens to the local rules and norms. He currently attends the third grade. Emilio establishes dialogue with adults when he feels confidence and listens. On a social level, he easily relates to peers and adults. He understands adoption and he feels happy about the idea of a loving adoptive family. He has seen his friends be adopted and he is wishing for the same.
